I’m Elise.
I’m an IACP certified, professional dog trainer.
Since I was very young, I have always had a great love for animals; particularly dogs.
At 10 years old, I was “hired” to show Toy Fox Terriers in conformation shows. After that, I handled different Toy Fox Terriers in the sport of Rally.
When I was about 16, I started volunteering at Helen Woodward Animal Center. I volunteered weekly for around three years: first in the Adoptions Department, and then in Club Pet; their boarding facility. At Helen Woodward, I gained experience handling over 100 different dog breeds (yes, I kept track).
A few years ago, I attended and graduated dog training school at Pro Train in Vista. I encountered dogs of many issues; especially reactive and aggressive dogs. Upon graduating, I became certified through Pro Train’s Dog Training School, as well as the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). Since then, I have attended multiple dog training seminars, trained dogs under the Wag! app, and worked as a mobile dog groomer for Awesome Doggies!.
Aside from dogs, my other animal experience includes taking equine classes in college, working for a summer at a Therapeutic Riding Ranch, and taking care of and handling all types of animals including: horses, chickens, hamsters, cats, birds, and parrots.
Now dog training and petsitting is really not JUST about the dogs and the pets… it’s also about the people! I come from a very strong customer service background in both sales and the food service industry. I understand how critical customer service is, and the importance of being ethical to not only the dogs but also to their owners; my clients.
My goal is to create peace between you and your dog, and help you understand dog behavior and your own dog better; in the most ethical and honest way possible.
I’m looking forward to meeting you and your dog!
