Can’t say enough about Elise and Peaceful Pups. We rescued a 2 year old terrier from a rescue org working out of Tijuana and we realized she had never seemed to have any sort of training. She couldn’t use stairs, was too shy to walk through the door, and would bark at us every time we walked in a room (not aggressively, more like stranger danger!). We found Peaceful Pups online and saw that she served Ocean Beach so we met and it turned out to be a great fit! In just 4 sessions over the course of about 6 weeks, our little Poppy was like a whole different dog than we brought home. Her confidence is through the roof, she loves stairs (even though she’s a little clumsy still), and doesn’t have the constant barking. She’s even walking great on a leash, sits on command, stays and comes when called. All within a few weeks of work. The training is mostly for the people, and Elise was very patient with us and left notes after every training and a wonderful wrap up report of things to remember and groups to join in our area. Great service, and would definitely recommend Elise and Peaceful Pups for any training or dog sitting needs.

We are so thankful to have found Peaceful Pups Dog Training! My boyfriend and I have a 1 year old Jack Russell terrier, Frito. We felt overwhelmed trying to manage Fritos behaviors and high energy. Elise was able to provide us with education and training tailored to our specific needs such as: demand barking, threshold, place, sit/stay, and leash manners. I hired Elise to help with my foster dog, Nessy, who struggles with reacting on walks when she sees other dogs and has stranger danger with new people. Elise provided practical tips that I’ve been using consistently, and I’ve started seeing improvement on our walks. Elise also helped me practice introductions with a male guest, and Nessy stayed calm, which gave me more confidence in handling situations when guest come over. Her services were reasonably priced, and I appreciated having guidance and tools to keep working on Nessy’s progress.

Elise was so amazing. She’s very flexible when making time for training sessions. I have a very busy and chaotic schedule so she was always so accommodating. But the most amazing part was that she helped me correct my aggressive dog’s reactivity towards people and helped me calm him during our walks. Now going out with him is an enjoyable experience.

I am grateful for the help Elisa gave menwith my rescue dog who lived on the streets and had a lot of obstacles to overcome. She helped with some basic training and helped me understand Lilo a lot more. She has a wealth of knowledge about dog training and shared that with us. We had an amazing experience with Peaceful Pups Dog Training and Elise! She trained my puppy, Lady, and the difference is night and day. Lady listens to commands so well now and our walks are so much better and more enjoyable. Elise is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thoughtful. She even gives the sweetest doggy treat gifts, which Lady loved. The in-depth packets Elise provides with everything we worked on and need to know have been so helpful and made it easy to continue training at home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely incredible! Elise at Peaceful Pups is truly amazing with animals. She doesn’t just watch our dogs—she understands them. During one of her stays, she even taught our pups not to bark when she opens the front door after being gone for hours. That alone was impressive! Every day, she sends us a picture with a little “pup-date” and lets us know how everyone is doing. Those daily updates give us so much peace of mind when we’re away. What truly set her apart, though, was what happened the last time she cared for them. It was raining, so she walked them around our block. One of our dogs had a bee hidden in the fur on her paw and started licking and acting off. Elise immediately noticed something wasn’t right—she recognized the early signs, saw that our pup started vomiting, and didn’t hesitate for a second. She put her in the car right away, rushed her to the emergency vet, and handled everything with incredible responsibility and calm. Our dogs are our babies—we love them like our own children—and we trust Elise 100%. Her intuition, attention to detail, and genuine care are unmatched. I worked with Elise to help my Belgian Malinois with leash pulling and reactivity on walks, and the difference has been amazing. Before, walks were stressful and tense and now they are much easier. Elise really understands high-energy breeds and gave me practical tools that actually work. She’s patient, clear, and genuinely cares about both the dog and the owner. I can’t recommend her enough!

I adopted a red heeler/Australian cattle dog from the Humane Society about 8 weeks ago, and when I first brought him home, he had a high level of reactivity and would bark at other dogs. Starting training with Elise at Peaceful Pups has made such a difference. In just 4 sessions, Elise introduced me to leash handling techniques like the “free” and “with me” commands, helped my dog learn to check in with me at thresholds, and guided us through tricks such as stay, paw, high five, and recall. With these approaches, along with increased exposure and socialization, I’ve already seen my dog gain confidence and show a noticeable decrease in reactivity. Elise is personable, knowledgeable, and really tailors the homework to the unique needs of your dog. I would highly recommend Peaceful Pups to anyone experiencing similar challenges—or simply looking to build a stronger bond with their pup.
